For the first time in recent memory your Lady Dragons have raced to the top of the district standings with their second consecutive victory to open district play. Neither of the Lady Dragons two district opponents have come within single digits. Last night your squad defeated Denton Guyer 56-46 at home behind 16 points from Claire Reynolds who was 4 of 8 from behind the 3-point line.

Jillian Sowell had her usual strong night chipping in 13 points and 4 assists. Her 13 points last evening put her over the 300 point mark on the year which is more than she scored the entirety of last season. Jordyn Sowell had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Allyson Medici had 7 points and 4 rebounds. Brittney Flexer contributed 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Lady Dragons are getting contributions from everywhere now as Kaelyn Riley had 3 points and 7 rebounds. Kalila Fambro had 2 points and 2 rebounds and Caitlyn DeNicola had a deuce and 2 steals.

Up next its an early season showdown for first place as SLC travels on the road for the first time in district play. The Lady Dragons (8-9, 2-0) travel to Byron Nelson on Tuesday, Dec. 18th to take on the Bobcats who are also undefeated in district play. Tip time is 6pm.
