For all those that thought new meant you had to spend time feeling out a new system and that the wins would come slow - oh contraire - all your Dragon Soccer team has done is start out the season 4-0 while allowing just two goals.

Last night Dragon Soccer opened their home schedule before a raucous crowd with a 3-1 win over Arlington Sam Houston. Also the team is now 2-0 vs. AISD squads this year.

After a scoreless first 11 minutes the Dragons got on the board with a goal from #25 Nolan Mikolasik and an assist by #7 Robbie Pino. The Dragons got on the board again before the break with a goal from #10 Carlos Trevino with an assist this time from Mikolasik. Sam Houston snatched one back to cut the game 2-1 before a foul in the box resulted in a PK which was converted by #8 Preston Myers.

Another win means another Men of the Match award from Coach Cottrell. Preston Myers, Jackson Clay and Nolan Mikolasik all received the honors.

Up next Dragon Soccer heads on their first significant road trip of the year when they travel to Georgetown for the Elite Governor's Cup Showcase. Their first match is Thursday, Jan. 10th at 2:30pm vs. San Angelo Central.
