Dragon Soccer traveled to Byron Nelson tonight to take on the team who began the night at the top of the 5-6A table. By the time the night was over the Bobcats would have company at the top.

Nelson struck first and kept the Dragons off the board for approximately half the half. But then midway through the opening stanza SLC equalized on a goal from Carlos Trevino and the game went to the break knotted at one apiece.

Then the new look Dragons struck for a second half barrage of goals beginning with the goal that would prove to be the game winner by sophomore Max McLarty. Although SLC was only up by a single goal at the time they would not trail again. In fact they would add two helpers in the second half for the final 3 goal margin. The first came on a goal by Nolan Mikolasik and the final ball to find the back of the net came from Preston Myers.

McLarty earned Man of the Match for his one goal, one assist performance.

The Dragons, 11-0-1 and 2-0-1 in district now host Fossil Ridge at home on Tuesday, Feb. 5th at 7:30pm.
