For two years, Tim Stuewe's best two teams at Carroll met up with two outstanding Lewisville teams, each of which would go on to reach the state tournament. With tonight's five run 7th inning the Lady Dragons completed a district sweep over the Lady Farmers and helped ease the pain of those two playoff defeats.

Allie Nuenke was outstanding in the circle, scattering seven hits over 7 innings in a complete game victory while striking out three.

While the game looked like a blowout from the offensive perspective it was anything but through the first 6 innings as the Lady Dragon offense didn't really get rolling until the 7th when they plated five runs. Riley Carter led the ladies' offense in hits with three of the team's twelve. Gaby Garcia, Abigail Stuart and Elizabeth Egel each had a pair of hits.

SLC picked up their 20th win on the season to improve to 20-6 and a strong 2nd place in 5-6A with an 8-2 overall record.

The team's continues a tough district road swing when they travel to Marcus on Tuesday, April 10th at 7pm.
