Your Lady Dragons had to work possibly as hard as they have all season to advance to the Region 1 meet in Lubbock. Everyone knows that the 5-6A district Cross Country Meet, held yesterday at Bob Jones Park in Southlake, is possibly the toughest Cross Country district in the state, as in the defending state champions Keller also run in this district and took top honors.

The Lady Dragons will - to paraphrase a saying - take 2nd and advance to the Region 1 meet in Lubbock to be held on Oct. 22nd.

The Varsity Lady Dragons ran a very strong race and finished just 4 points behind Keller. The Lady Dragons were paced by Junior Payton Wichman who placed 7th with a time of 18:35. Right behind her was Sofia Santamaria in 8th at 18:41, followed by Grace Williamson in 9th at 18:47 and Lydia Lo in 10th at 18:49 and Kate Reppeto in 11th at 18:51. Finishing 12th was Tatum Foreman at 18:53 and Katherine Mcelaney in 14th at 18:59.
