Despite a 10-0 start to the regular season and beginning district with a 3-0 shutout over the team that most thought would be the primary challenger for the 5-6A title, you can forgive LDS fans if the two tiny bumps in the road felt like a Grand Canyon size hole. That's why tonight's 7-0 win over Fossil Ridge which snapped a two game winless streak was so much needed. Perhaps never before has the team season motto of 200 feet been so tested. And the Lady Dragons thrashed the Panthers from the game's opening kick.

Madi Drenowatz scored the game's opening goal, which when you win a game 7-0 is the game winner. She added another goal on the evening for a 2 goal night. Sydney Nobles also had a pair . Tara Sumer, Sarah Hornyak and Morgan Quillen all had goals. Kendall Gilpin who returned from a prolonged absence from the lineup had an assist as well as Sydney Nobles, Tara Sumer, Bailey Meyer, and Sarah Hornyak. Senior keeper Madi Martin recorded her 8th shutout on the year.

The team is now 11-1-2 on the year and 2-1-1 in district play. They take on Keller Central at home on Friday, Feb. 8th at 7:30pm.
