Legendary coach Augie Garrido used to say that there are five seasons to a baseball season. Pre-season, which is the first season. Conference, which is the second season, and then the multi layers to the post season. For high school baseball the same adage holds true.

The Dragons have finished the first season with a record of 10-3-1 against some of the toughest competition in the country.

SLC opens the 2nd season tonight at home against Byron Nelson who will enter play with a record of 10-1. Jack Fuller is the likely starter for the Dragons tonight. He enters his third trip through the rotation with a record of 1-1 overall.

The Dragon offense is paced by Evan Robson with a .455 batting average while Senior Tanner Carson and Freshman Camden Dean also enter play with a .429 average.

A reminder that our Dragon Baseball Broadcast airs right here on the Dragon Sports Network and your Dragon Sports App with a pregame beginning at 6:45 pm and the first pitch scheduled for 7pm.

Any Dragon high school student entering the game tonight will receive a wrist band good for a free hot dog, chips and a drink.

See you all at the ball park tonight for season 2 of Dragon Baseball.
