Leslie Jackson's third year is off to a flying start for Lady Dragon Volleyball. The team went 7-1 this week and kicked off with a sweep over McKinney Boyd and six wins at the Battle of the Rock Tournament in Rockwall.

The six wins at Rockwall included two wins over 5A powerhouse Highland Park, the second of which was a reverse sweep in the tournament semi-finals. The team eventually fell in the tournament title game to Allen for the only loss on the week. But still, second place at The Rock is a great start to the year.

Congratulations to Kinsley Young and Layla Austin for being named to the All Tournament Team.

Up next the Lady Dragons climb on the bus and head to Colleyville Heritage on Tuesday night, August 19th at 5:30 pm.
