In a match that lasted around 5 hours, Southlake Carroll Dragon Tennis team picked up their 22nd win in an epic dual that was much closer than then 10-4 final.

Carroll lead the match over the Wolves from Plano West, 4-3 after doubles, only to see Plano West knot the match at an even 4-4 after the first singles match. The Dragons, however, went on a 6-0 run in terms of points scored, to conclude the night, and thusly they now have the same number of wins on the season as Emmitt Smith's jersey number. 22 of course.

Number 23, which the Dragons will have a chance to earn tomorrow morning at 10am, would send the Dragons to their second state tournament in school history and second in the last three years. They will take on Coppell for a 3rd time this season at Hardin Simmons University with a trip to the final four on the line.
