Carroll ISD Names Lee Munn as Head Football Coach

Southlake, Texas – Carroll Independent School District is proud to announce that Lee Munn has been named the new Head Football Coach of the Dragons. Munn has served Carroll ISD since 2018, most recently as Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator, and brings more than a decade of coaching and teaching experience in Texas to the role.

Munn has played a key role in the continued success of the program, overseeing defensive strategy, player development, and off-season programming while upholding the high standards and traditions of Carroll Football. His leadership, consistency, and deep understanding of the Dragon community positioned him as a strong fit to lead the program forward.

Board President Cam Bryan said he was confident in the decision following a thorough and thoughtful search process. “Lee Munn has earned the respect of our players, staff, and community through his leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence,” Bryan said. “He understands what it means to be a Dragon and has consistently demonstrated that he will put our players first. We are excited to see him lead our football program into its next chapter.”

Munn began his coaching career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor as a graduate assistant, where he also earned a master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science, before serving on coaching staffs at Marble Falls and Westlake High School. Since joining Carroll ISD, he has helped guide the Dragons at the highest levels of Texas High School Football while mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as Head Football Coach at Carroll,” said Munn. “This program, this community, and these student-athletes mean a great deal to me. I am committed to building on the tradition of excellence that defines our Dragons while continuing to develop young men of character, discipline, and heart.”

Carroll ISD conducted a nationwide search and received a strong pool of highly qualified applicants. District leadership emphasized the importance of selecting a coach who reflects Carroll’s values, culture, and commitment to student success.
