Carroll Baseball has a new broadcast home - or actually it is more accurate to say they have returned to their original one. For the first time since 2018 Dragon Baseball is rejoining the Champion Sports Broadcast family. Twenty-five regular season games, plus playoffs will be broadcast by Champion Sports with Pete Nielson serving as the play by play voice. This is Pete's second stint with Carroll Baseball. Provided here is a short bio on Pete provided by the Champion Sports website.

An adopted Texan, Pete has called the Metroplex home since 1988. Pete has worked in the Telecommunication Field for the past 33 years dealing mostly with the design and installation of fiber optic networks. A certified sports nut, Pete spent many years coaching his two now grown boys Matt and Andrew in youth baseball and football. Pete was also a certified umpire at one point before starting his tenure at Champion Sports Radio.
This is Pete’s 19th year with CSR, and this season he will serve as the Color Analyst for the Hebron Hawks for the 17th straight year. After serving as the voice of Hebron Hawk Baseball for the last 7 years, Pete is excited to return this year to the Carroll Dragons baseball broadcast, where he last was behind the mic for their 2018 State Championship season! Pete and his wife Julie reside in McKinney and besides spending time with her, he loves to spend any free time he can on the golf course.

Pete will be joined by a rotation of former Carroll coaches. Former Carroll assistants Gavin Gregory and Casey Combs will join Pete for the color analysts.
