Dragon Cross Country dominated the 5-6A District Meet on their home course Thursday morning finishing with a District Championship and just 32 points. Remember in Cross Country, like Golf, low scores are better.

The Dragons were in firm command in the placing as their runners made up half of the top 10 spots. Junior Nate Lannen led the boys finishing in 2nd with a time of 15:18. In 5th was Jack Meyers at 15:40 and Tim Mcelaney right behind in 6th at 15:40. Drew Bliss came in 9th at 15:49, Henry Gardner in 10th at 15:55, Antonio Florcruz in 13th at 16:09 and Steven Torres placing 19th at 16:31.

With the District Championship the team advances to the Region 1 meet in Lubbock on Oct. 22nd and earns 4 Lone Star Cup points for SLC, 2 for winning the district championship and 2 more for advancing to the Region 1 meet in Lubbock.
