Your Lady Dragon Soccer team ripped through the Governor's Cup this weekend going 3-0 on the road trip with victories over Leander Rouse, San Antonio Johnson and Clear Springs.

Each game had its share of drama. The Leander Rouse game was a tidy 4-0 victor. The ladies missed several chances to put the Lady Jaguars from Johnson away early including a goal called back for offsides. It wasn't until the final minute of regulation that Taylor Tufts hammered a goal home for the 1-0 win over the state's previous #2 team, and the team's 2013 state semi-final opponent. The Lady Dragons are now 2-0 vs. the Lady Jags all time.

On Saturday the Lady Dragons trailed twice to Clear Springs at 1-0 and then again at 2-1 before emerging with a 4-2 victory.

The Lady Dragons, 9-0-1, and #4 in the latest TopDrawerSoccer.com Winter Fab 50 rankings, available at the publication of this story, are off tomorrow before opening district play against Keller at Dragon Stadium on Friday, Jan. 25th at 7:30pm.
