The Dragon and Lady Dragon Cross Country teams hosted their 2nd meet of 3 in a six week time period on Saturday at Bob Jones Park.

While the Elite Varsity squads were off helping to assist with hosting the meet, the Varsity Open division ran for both the Dragons and Lady Dragons. The Dragons came in 1st place paced by Mason Alexander in 6th with a time of 16:37 followed by Issac Chavez in 10th at 17:03 and Grant Anderson in 11th at 17:04.

The Girls Varsity Open placed 2nd and was led by Grace Williamson who placed 2nd at 19:28. Payton Wichman came in 14th at 20:51 and Kate Reppeto in 15th at 20:54.

Carroll head man Justin Leonard had much to say about Saturday's results. "First off, we would like to thank everyone that helped with the Carroll XC Classic. Our runners did an outstanding job in every division. We competed, and that mentality will pay dividends at our district meet on October 17th."

Surprisingly the preseason is nearly over. There is only one meet left before the "Championship Season" begins and it is a split squad event next week. The Varsity Elite squads will head to the Chile Pepper Festival XC Meet which is a dual college and high school meet hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. The Open and JV squads will head to Decatur for The Reunion Run.
