For only the second time in its program history Lady Dragon Soccer opened a season as the defending State Champions. A quick glance at this year's roster reveals many new faces for the Lady Dragons, but the young core got off to a strong start going 3-1 this weekend at the NEPS Tournament hosted at Dragon Stadium.

The season opened with a 5 nil victory over Cornerstone Christian. The team then kept the sheet clean with another shutout on the front end of a double header vs. Mount Carmel with a 2-0 W. The back end of the twin bill was a Xerox of the match earlier Friday as the team defeated Boerne Champion 2-0. The lone set back came in the concluding match as the team fell in a one goal decision to St. Agnes 3-2.

The Lady Dragons are now 3-1 and make the long road trip across the street to Colleyville Heritage HS on Thursday, January 9th to begin the Allison Horn Memorial Tournament. They will face Allen at 4pm.
