Dragon Swim/Dive hunts Rubber Chickens at 15th annual Bernie Ausdenmoore Dragon Hunt

No, this is not what the Dragon Swim/Dive Coaches are wearing for Halloween. This is how you dress for the 15th Annual Bernie Ausdenmoore Dragon Hunt Swim Invitational.

In case this is your first hearing of the Dragon Hunt Swim Invitational the grand prize for winning a race/relay is a RUBBER CHICKEN! According to Coach Murphy, "You should see how hard swimmers will race to win a rubber chicken!"

Three teams participated in this meet as Mansfield and Mansfield Lake Ridge joined the Dragons and Lady Dragons at the Carroll Aquatic center last Saturday.

The Dragons and Lady Dragons both emerged victorious as the Dragons had a team total of 1,574 points to Mansfield Lake Ridge's 617 and Mansfield's 472. The Lady Dragons captured the victory with 1,149 point where Mansfield had 708 and Mansfield Lake Ridge had 667.

On an individual basis the Dragons won 23 of 48 rubber chickens awarded. They also won 6 of 8 relays.

The team is next slated to be in action on November 5th for Senior Recognition Night vs. Flower Mound at the Carroll Aquatic Center. Senior Recognition will begin at 5:45pm with swimming/diving beginning at 6:20pm.
