The Dragon Boys Cross Country team will have an opportunity to defend their State Championship. They assured themselves of this by winning the Region 1 Title in Lubbock yesterday.

The team finished first as Antonio Florcruz took an individual Bronze medal leading the team with a time of 15:56. Senior Bennet Woolsey finished in 12th at 16:24, followed by senior Solomon Chavez in 15th at 16:27. Senior Bryan Fernando was in 26th at 16:41, sophomore Logan Cantu was 28th at 16:42, sophomore Hunter Hill was 29th in 16:44 and senior Mason Alexander was 31st at 16:48.

The Dragons will make their 11th consecutive trip to the State meet which this year is on a special date of Tuesday, Nov. 24th at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock.
