Dragon Cross Country continued their three meet winning streak - which dates back to the UIL State Meet last November.

The latest victory came Saturday when they took 1st place in the Coach T Invitational at North Lakes Park in Denton.

Junior Robert Freeman took top honors for the Dragons and finished fourth overall in the meet in a time of 16:09. Freeman was one of four Juniors in the top five finishers for the Dragons. David Fisher finished in 7th place overall at 16:19 and Hunter Hill took 8th overall at 16:22, while Sophomore Jude Alvarez came in 17th at 16:38 and Vivek Reddy came in 19th at 16:42.

The Lady Dragons were just a step off the top rung of the podium as they finished in 2nd place overall, led by Senior Kaylie Cox.

Coach Leonard was enthused about his team's day. "This meet is always one of the most competitive of the season, and I'm proud of how our runners responded. The heat definitely had an impact on the times, but our young men and women fought through it and raced well."
