The sun has risen on the 2022 Cross Country season and the Southlake Carroll Cross Country team is doing, well..., what they do, sweeping the Southlake Invitational and finishing first and second at the Marcus Coach T Invitational.

The Dragons took top honors at Marcus while the Lady Dragons finished in second place. The Dragons were lead by Logan Cantu in 2nd place followed by Blake Bullard in 7th, Caden Leonard in 18th, Zach Troutman in 24th and Alex Severson in 30th.

At Marcus the Lady Dragons were paced by Alexandra Walsh in 5th, Ava Bushaw in 7th, Elizabeth Smits in 21st, Syliva Schwedler in 22nd and Audrey Dunn in 25th.

Coach Leonard said the Marcus Invitational features some of the toughest competition in the area and he was very proud of how they competed.

The Dragons and Lady Dragons have a week of training before taking off on their first out of state trip of the season. They will compete at the Woodbridge XC Classic in Norco, Ca on Saturday, Sept. 17th.
