Above all else Dragons are always gentlemen. And gentlemen never leave their ladies behind. In order to join the Lady Dragon Water Polo team at the state tournament the Dragoons had to win two games in a single day to sweep the Region 1 championship.
The Dragons beat Conroe 21-5 in the Region 1 semi-final and then squeaked out the most dramatic win in team history 10-9 over the Marcus Marauders to earn the Region 1 championship.
While the Dragons have been a club powerhouse for years, this is the first year for water polo to be an official UIL sport. And so the Dragons are 1-1 in earning trips to the UIL state tournament.
The Dragons will represent Region 1 in the first ever state tournament beginning Saturday, Oct. 29th at noon at the Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio when they take on Clute Brazoswood.
Much more Water Polo state information will come all week long. So stay turned to DragonSportsNetwork.com.
