Carroll Athletics today, in partnership with CABC and Mascot Media, announces a new era for Carroll Dragon Athletics broadcasts. Beginning with the 2023 football season former Dragon and UTEP Miner Robert Clayton will serve as the color analyst for the broadcast. He will be joined by play-by-play veteran Chris Blake.

This year the games will be broadcast in conjunction with our website partners at Mascot Media on the DragonsportsNetwork.com site and app. The broadcast will be a fully integrated video and audio production. Coming this school year the broadcast will introduce opportunities for students in Carroll's new multi media class to be a part of the broadcast. Students will serve in capacities such as spotters and statisticians as well as work behind the scenes while getting hands on experience in video and audio engineering and production.

"We are very excited about the move to CABC to produce our broadcasts," Carroll Executive Director of Athletics, Steve Keasler said. He is thrilled with the new venture. "They have produced our video stream for the past three years and really brought our game-night experience to a new level."

CABC is continuing the sponsorship structure and opportunities that have been in place for the past several years. But now, proceeds from the broadcast will go directly to CABC to support all CISD athletic programs. “This is very positive for CABC and most importantly for the athletes in all our district athletic programs,” Keasler said. “The funding CABC provides on an annual basis is crucial to the success of these programs and this arrangement will provide a significant new revenue stream for CABC in addition to its proceeds from sales in the Dragon Den, membership, sponsorships, and other donations.”

CABC will also coordinate expanded streaming of other CISD athletic activities in the upcoming school year, again integrating CISD students in the process.

Carroll Athletic Booster Club is a volunteer led 501 (c)(3) public charity registered as a non-profit corporation in the state of Texas and it supports all CISD athletic programs from 7th-12th grades.
