Quinn Ewers and Texas Football just threw a Longhorn party at Nick Saban's house and as every Texas fan knows - "Ain't no party like a Longhorn party cause a Longhorn party don't stop. Say what?"
Ewers, a redshirt sophomore and SLC class of 2021, threw for 349 passing yards and 3 touchdowns leading 6 total scoring drives as #11 Texas defeated #3 Alabama 34-24 last night. It was perhaps Quinn's best game since a 6 touchdown performance in the Region 1 final vs. Euless Trinity in the UIL Texas High School playoffs in January of 2021. Ewers and Riley Dodge's Dragons would reach the state championship game that winter adding another chapter to SLC's rich football history.
To understand why a victory in September is so monumental, consider that Nick Saban has lost exactly one non-conference game at home in his Alabama career.
