Dragon Cross Country captured the 4-6A Championship Thursday morning which is the 14th consecutive district championship for Dragon Cross Country.

This matches Carroll team tennis, who also won their 14th consecutive district championship earlier this month.

Caden Leonard captured individual gold for the Dragons. The sophomore broke the tape with a time of 14:56. He was followed closely by Jude Alvarez who finished 2nd in 14:59. Blake Bullard finished 3rd in 15:12 as the Dragons swept the podium taking gold, silver and bronze. In fact they swept the top 4 spots as Zach Troutman finished 4th in 15:13. Alex Severson finished 8th in 15:40.

Coach Leonard was over the moon saying "I'm very proud of our young men and women. We work hard all year to prepare for the championship season, and district titles are the first step. We're looking forward to carrying this momentum into regionals."

Regionals will be Oct. 24th
