We blinked and the regular season is gone. These ladies are headed to playoffs. It is a whole new format for volleyball this season as for the first time in UIL history the sport splits into two divisions.
So, the Lady Dragons, although they finished 3rd in District 4-6A, will enter as the #2 seed in division two. As we know, there are four teams that enter into the playoffs from each district with two seeds going to division 1 and two seeds going to division 2, based on enrollment size. In this case Keller goes to division 1 based on enrollment. The Lady Dragons and Byron Nelson go division 2 based on enrollment.
That is, to paraphrase the old book series, 2024 Playoff Seedings for Dummies. The Lady Dragons will play Boswell for the Bi-District round. District 4 (us) and district 3 (Boswell) have agreed to a format where the top seed (Boswell) will host the lower seed (Dragons) so therefore we will travel to Boswell HS.
The game is a special Monday night first serve beginning at 6:30pm, Nov. 4th at Boswell HS, Newcom Gymnasium. Tickets are $5 for Adult and $3 for students.
