Almost every Dragon Wrestler will be wrestling next week at the Region 1 championship as 13 out of 14 Dragons qualified for the Regional meet. Of course when you have this high of a conversion percentage you are the 4-6A District Champions!!
And Coach Hathaway wouldn't mention this part himself - but we will - he was named District 4-6A Coach of the Year!!
Also the Lady Dragons had a very strong meet as well converting 6 out of 7 wrestlers to the Regional meet which is a new program record. Hedda Berg was the lone district champion on the Lady Dragons side while there were six individual champions for the Dragons which is a new program record.
The nineteen Southlake Carroll Wrestlers will continue their march to state next weekend at the Region 1 Championship at W.G. Thomas Coliseum.
